i'll put a flower in your hair

the countdown to gingers wedding is on - less than 3 days left!!! - so i decided to do some last minute crafting :)

the wedding will take place on the beach this saturday, and luckily, it's going to be nice and sunny :) the bride-to-be chose a bright and cheery color scheme, with tangerine bridesmaid dresses, and sunflowers as our bouquets. then, a few weeks ago, our friend, megan, found a great deal on matching shoes via ebay, so we finally had our full ensemble.

everything looked great, but i still felt like something was missing... so i made a quick trip to micheals arts and crafts store, and i constructed these beauties for our hair:

orange & yellow sunflower hair clips

the orange sunflower hair clips match the bridesmaids tangerine dresses, and the yellow sunflower hair clip matches the maid of honors' yellow dress. i was pretty excited when i was all done and it ended up being a fairly simple project (took me about 2 hours, and $15 to make four of these).

you will need: 

a fake flower of your choice

gorilla glue (love this stuff)

and metal hair clips

i dig this partly because it really jazzes up a boring hairdo (yup, i said jazzes), but mostly because i have a big girl-crush on her... and if you don't like her, well then i don't think we can be friends anymore...
